Employment History
2006-Current Art Director, Gala Events Inc.
Oversee all things "art" for a full service, event-production company that continually creates award-winning events. Work with clients and production staff from concept to completion to develop the overall artistic vision for big budget events in the Washington DC area. Duties include 3D event and prop renderings in 3D Studio Max, graphic design using Photoshop and Illustrator for various print material such as custom signs and marketing material, and web development with Dreamweaver. Also a great deal of hands-on artwork such as painting backdrops, faux painting for various facades and creation of extraordinary centerpieces and props.
2005- 2006 Graphic Designer, Express Signs
Work with customers and other artists to design and assemble a wide array of custom signs. Duties include vector and bitmap image manipulation for custom sign layouts and logo design using Flexi SignPro, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The balance of time is spent designing layouts, assembling sign materials and installing final graphics on vehicles and job sites. Daily activities also include CMYK color matching for print images on a commercial thermal printer and cutting vinyls on a plotter.
2001-2005 3D Artist/Animator, Leaping Lizard Software
Game development for Windows, Dreamcast, and Xbox. Worked with other artists and programmers from game concept to game completion. Contributed art for the entirety of four published games including 2D concept design, 3D modeling of characters and objects, character animation, level design, interior design, texture mapping, normal mapping, interface design and the company website.
Published Games: Centipede for Dreamcast, Monopoly Casino for PC, Magic: the Gathering Online for PC, and Bicycle Casino 2005 for Xbox.Our most successful game to date is Magic: The Gathering Online.This is a "pay for play" game based upon the tradable card game. It isamong the most profitable online games currently in existence.
2003-Current Marketing Artist, Construction Conultant Services (CCS Inc.)
Lead artist in charge of creating print, web, and presentation graphics to market CCS as a qualified custom shower door installation company. Develop and update company website with Dreamweaver. Designed company logo, tri-fold, portfolio presentation package, business card, product labels and numerous amounts of CCS marketing material with 3D Studio Max and Adobe Photoshop. Use Adobe Illustrator to create scalable vector graphics for sand blasting templates.2000-2000 Art Intern, Leaping Lizard Software
Helped with the completion of Centipede for Dreamcast and Monopoly Casino. Used Photoshop to batch crop/save images for animation sequences. Also used 3D Studio Max and Photoshop to create supplement art such as menu screens, 3D player pieces, and slot machine/video poker pay tables.Skills:
