There are many businesses around the Frederick area that have asked Colin and Cheezer to paint murals on their walls. Their very first job was at the Flying Dog Brewery, they had a lot of big, plain walls that they painted giant 8ft beer labels onto, and from there they have had several successful jobs. Check out their mural portfolio below.

Gus's Tattoo Studio - Market Street in Downtown Frederick

Colin made a deal with Rhonda and Shane downt at Gus's Tattoo Studio, where if he came in and painted a bunch of awesome, fun murals all over the tattoo studio walls, Shane would in turn give Colin an equally awesome tattoo, and start a tattoo apprenticeship with him. As you can see by the pics, the place looks way gnarly, with an overall Japanese theme. Colin included many aspects of traditional and modern Japanese art on all of the walls.

Flying Dog Brewery

Ralph Steadman Murals

In 2009 Colin Smallwood and Cheezer began painting murals at the Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick MD. Rebel artist Ralph Steadman, who is famous for his "Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas" artwork, also created all of Flying Dog's beer labels. Our job at the brewery is to create larger than life wall art based off of Ralph Steadman's beer lables. They painted the entrance, tap room, conference room, merchandise room, a local liquor store wall, and have big plans to continue "branding" for them.

On the left is the Gonzo portrait. They painted a bunch of these in the conference room.

Cheezer's girlfriend Maggie is co-owner of University Auto, a family owned, used Volvo dealer and repair shop. They just recently moved into a new shop on English Muffin Way almost right across the street from the Flying Dog Brewery. Maggie commissioned Colin and Cheezer to paint a Volvo themed mural on a big blank wall in their shop.

There is a new restaurant on Market Street in Downtown Frederick called Olives. All the walls in the dining area are covered with beautiful Greek artwork, and the owner asked Colin to add some of his flair to the walls.
