Art Alchemy Circle and Gala Events, Inc. (amoung others) were proud sponsors of Flux 09 this year. Tom Kemp worked with Kristin Kaineg to design the decor and the Blue Elephant looked amazing! Also, Colin Smallwood and Tom Kemp will had an artalchemycircle sponsor booth set up with a lot of promotional stuff. Check out pics from the show!

The idea for the decor was mimic the postcard, which had a CMYK color scheme, and an ornate boarder. We translated the colorful orbs in the postcard into hanging Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow lanterns, with Black napkins and re-created the ornate boarder as a stencil to outline the finalists' work. For added color, we installed colorful CMY blocks of translucent material in the open rectanglular areas all around the gallery space. It was a really great way to utilize our small budget to create the perfect decor for Flux 09.
