Nick "Ghostfreehood" Borcowicz from Super Art Fight! invited Tom "Cheezer" Kemp of Art Alchemy Circle to participate in the Death Star Art Show at the Charmed Life Gallery in Baltimore
On Friday, October 7th 2011, Baltimore area artist will pay tribute to the horror genre and a galaxy far, far away. Whether it is a mash up of your favorite movie monster playing an intergalactic bounty hunter or a direct reference between Dracula and the Sith, we got you covered. Cheezer's submission to the show. Princess Leia killing Jabba the Hut mashed with Shephen King's IT. Drawn as a rough sketch in pencil, and scanned w/o inking. The "sketchy-ness" of the pencil scan created the overall gritty horror feel for the piece. Many splatter brush effects were used when coloring. Jabba's clown makeup has kind-of-a Heath Ledger as The Joker look...and randomly, Jabba is a clown too...the makeup just seemed to spice up the scene a bit :)
